I saw fruity tuan today.

It was so surreal. because we were on our way for COM206 shoot at Boon Lay.

Thought eyes were playing tricks.

and we chanced upon Skoric at Macs too.

One more shoot tomorrow. because of some dumb reason.

though filming was fun today, with all the dumb stuff that K, Thad and Cheryl were coming up with

It dawned upon me that my blog title is unfitting since I'm a downright rambling nerd. It is no longer my alter ego. Maybe, then, I was pretending to be an intellectual introvert. Which is so wrong.

Nonetheless, not changing it yet, till a better name comes along. There are plenty of them, so choice plagues me now.

Someone is going to start a "Political Awareness Club" in school and as politically-enthusiastic individuals, we were targeted. I left my name, just curious. Curious whether they had the capacity to convince me. But, I think not and I hope not. I still love the kind of cosy discussions I engage in with random individuals. Something so on purpose is not for me. But still, I left my name. Still.

Seminars and discussions sounded boring. The man did not look intelligent nor sound intelligent. Instead, he came across as desperate. for attention?

But he mentioned Cherian George. And Prof Ho did too, today. So many oral citation counts. "Publish or Perish", says Intan.

Ignore the gibberish.

I was going to blog in Hokkien. So I am going to blog in Hokkien. From now. now.

Wa si hokkien lang. Wa hi bang wu zi jit, wa eh sai yong Hokkien sia gua, sia poem. Yin wee Wa si hokkien lang. Gin jit xi gang bo gao, wa ai ki kua bai fen bai, mai ga li nang gong ah ni zue. Gong ah ni zue li nang ma mng zai wa lo gong si mi.

(Translation: I am Hokkien. I wish that there would be a day when I can write Hokkien songs and poems, because I'm Hokkien. Today I do not have enough time, I need to watch Entertainment 100% aka Don't say so much. Say so much you also don't know what I talking about.

See what see. Still see I poke your eyes ah!)

some poem i scribbled on my palm during my ritualistic escapade:

the rain pounded
pounded furiously
on the red canvas
& yet all was quiet
it seems...

only the faithful sound when pen meets paper

I screwed up my presentation.

Moon: "Erm, maybe we do not exist in this world."

*Laughter in some corners of the tutorial room*

Maybe, if I had said that sentence with a little more conviction, people would have believed it. No, or maybe they would have thought I was mad.

I already knew the message wasn't that clear, the topic and theme too heavy for 6 photo stills. But I hate to give up the chance of making others see what I think, through my photos.

So I chose to sacrifice my grades.

That was why when someone asked, "What's the topic you're doing?", I tried to hem and haw through it, to escape saying "existence".

I still think maybe we do not exist at all.

With conviction.

P.S: Weird stuff are happening recently, and they are such sad irony.

HAHA。

Loveeveryone,

How I wish....every sentence that were to come out from people's mouth would be something intelligent.

How I wish...people would come straight to the point and not beat about the bush.

How I wish...everyone would just speak their mind and not hide anything

How I wish...words were not used wrongly and people who have NO grasp of English speak Chinese instead (or keep their mouth shut).

How I wish...people were more concerned about the world.

Yah, I wish only mah...

He is definitely a great orator. And I see why he inspires the young Americans, because his speech-making abilities is truly inspiring. truly.

I do not agree that a good orator is someone who talks big, but does nothing. He can be a good leader. I do believe.

'Yes We Can', might it be another 'I Have a Dream'?

The song and vid is brilliant too.

-Lyrics-

It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared the destiny of a nation.

Yes we can.

It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trail toward freedom.

Yes we can.

It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from distant shores and pioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness.

Yes we can.

It was the call of workers who organized; women who reached for the ballots; a President who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a King who took us to the mountaintop and pointed the way to the Promised Land.

Yes we can to justice and equality.

Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity.

Yes we can heal this nation.

Yes we can repair this world.

Yes we can.

We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change.

We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics...they will only grow louder and more dissonant ........... We've been asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.

But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.

Now the hopes of the little girl who goes to a crumbling school in Dillon are the same as the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of LA; we will remember that there is something happening in America; that we are not as divided as our politics suggests; that we are one people; we are one nation; and together, we will begin the next great chapter in the American story with three words that will ring from coast to coast; from sea to shining sea --

Yes. We. Can.

I buried the lead, gosh. But, I'm pissed coz I kind of purposely buried it, for fear that the NUS counsellor might not like it. To be polite to someone who granted me an interview.

And, fear shouldn't appear in a journalist's dictionary.

So, there.

But, im over it.

Today, something funny happened during HA205 tutorial. Jan was giving the presentation, someone came in halfway, left the door open.

Then, he paused, and asked Prof Ho: "Sir, can we close the door? Since we're talking about politics here."

Me and Siti were laughing about it at the CS benches later, and I exclaimed that PAP won't be walking past the door, since our tutorial room is like damn ulu and right at the end of the corridor.

Now, I don't even bother to check the room number. I just walk straight to the end.

On another note, due to the hype regarding the escape of Mas Selamat, I feel like being a prankster and leaving something like 'Mas Selamat Found' on my MSN personal msg.

Though I decided against it.
